HSU here for you!

Hartpury Students’ Union is here to provide you with representation, guidance and opportunities whether you are a Hartpury College or Hartpury University student.  We want you to get involved and will support you regardless of your course, level or study or background.

HSU is run by students for students.  Each year you will get the opportunity to elect your officers (you might even decide to stand yourself!).  They are all current students so know what it’s like to be studying (and living) at Hartpury and really do understand your needs.

Representation
Your officers represent you locally and nationally and play a key role in the direction and strategy of the students’ union.  Along with the student reps they are your representative body at Hartpury.  Officers and reps attend meetings at various levels of the college and university ensuring that your voice is heard.

Guidance

Starting college or university, being away from home for the first time and coping with life in general can be tricky for some of us sometimes.  Your students’ union is here to support you and can help you find the additional support you need – whether that is help with study skills, mental health and wellbeing, financial difficulties or dealing with an un-cooperative landlord, we can get you in touch with the specialists who can help you deal with it.

Opportunities

Being at college or university is a brilliant time to try new things and we want to provide as many opportunities as we can to allow you to do that.  We have a range of physical activity groups where you can play competitively or take part recreationally – even if you’re a total novice!
We’ve got some amazing societies too – we cover many interests from photography and media to equine and canine breeding!

Not seeing something you’re looking for?  The good news is that you can start your own!

We’re proud of the Hartpury Family (#puryfam!) and know that feeling part of that is a really important element of your time here.  We’ve got campaigns and identity societies that are a great way of meeting new people with the same interests or beliefs.
Giving back to the community is important to many of us so if you are interested in fundraising or volunteering our RaG (Raise and Give) and volunteer opportunities are a great way of you doing that.
