We were overwhelmed by the generosity of Hartpury University and College students and staff following our Christmas appeal.

This year we worked with Hamper Scamper and the Gloucester City Mission to collect food, warm clothing and blankets.
Over the course of 3 weeks the SU office filled with donations from individuals and departments - we were given food cupboard staples such as pasta, rice and tinned goods as well as Christmas treats like chocolates and biscuits.  People also donated toiletries.  All of the donations were collected by CCP volunteers who will be distributing it to those in need. Many of those who will be receiving a hamper may be families living on the brink of homelessness and struggling to afford food and heating alongside the expectations of the festive season. Others may be isolated adults and young people, with no friends or family to celebrate this special time of year with. You can find more information here:
The warm clothing and blankets, including a duvet and a sleeping bag, were take to Gloucester City Mission.  They will distribute the items to the people they help who live on the streets of Gloucester.  Winter, and especially Christmas, is a dreadfully hard time for the homeless community and we hope that we can help them through with our donated items.

Thank you all!
