This year Bi Visibility Day takes place Saturday 23rd September 2023!

What is Bi Visibility Day?

Bi Visibility Day is a day to recognise the bisexual community and celebrate bisexual people globally.

What is bisexuality?

The term ‘bisexuality’ (or ‘bi) refers to people who have a romantic and/or sexual attraction towards more than one gender.

Why do we celebrate Bi Visibility Day?

George @ Stonewall explains: “Bi people are often the forgotten part of the LGBTQ+ community. Our experiences are commonly assumed to be the same as lesbian and gay experiences, and our identities are frequently made invisible or dismissed as something that doesn’t exist, by people both inside and outside of this community”.

We must continue to raise awareness about issues faced by the bi community and champion Equality. Read more: Why do we need Bi Visibility Day? (stonewall.org.uk)
