What is a Student Assistance Programme (SAP)?

An SAP is a confidential programme designed to help you deal with personal or student-related problems. The problems could be affecting your home life, education, health, and general wellbeing. Health Assured have teamed up with Hartpury University and Hartpury College to provide this service.  Our SAP service provides a complete support network that offers expert advice and compassionate guidance 24/7, covering a wide range of issues. We strongly believe in providing an SAP service that offers not only reactive support when someone needs it but also proactive and preventative support to deliver the best possible outcomes. Balancing everyday life with the requirements of studying and home life can create pressures for all of us. We are here to support you and alleviate everyday pressures or anxiety life can cause. It is vital to create a productive, healthy environment that is conducive to a healthy lifestyle. That’s why you can call us anytime, anywhere to access in-the moment support from one of our counsellors.

 

Services Available

Health Assured offers cover for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year:

  • Life support: Access to counselling for problems like anxiety, depression, low mood, relationship issues, sexual and gender identity concerns and exam pressures.
  • Legal information: For issues that cause anxiety or distress including debt management, consumer, landlord or neighbour disputes.
  • Bereavement support: Health Assured offers qualified and experienced counsellors who can help with grief plus legal advisors to help with related legal matters.
  • Medical information: Qualified nurses are on hand to offer support on a range of medical or health-related issues offering practical information and advice.

Helpline services available

Health Assured offers support for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year by calling 0800 028 3766. If you’re living in the same household as your partner, they can also access the service too, as well as children (aged 16-24, in full time education).  *Health Assured define immediate family members as spouse/partners and children aged 16 to 24 in full-time education, living in the same household.
